Jungle Beach Galle

The Jungle beach is located in proximity to the quaint little town of Unawatuna in the southern-most region of Sri Lanka and it features a lengthy stretch of lush coconut palms and trees that clears up by the oceans giving way to a spectacular golden stretch of sand. The thick vegetation which surrounds the beach is the reason for how it got its name and it is also what contributes to its popularity. With its stunning sceneries and spectacular outlook, the beach constantly reminds its visitors that they are in paradise!

Visitors to the beach would be greeted by the gentle breeze and a stunning view and they could just lie down on the warm sands and bask in the sweet rays of the tropical sun. For someone who feels a bit adventurous, they could plunge into the shallows for an exciting snorkelling session, a boat ride into the waters, or an adventurous diving session where they could witness the vibrant marine life up-close and personal.

The Jungle region of the beach is also rich in biodiversity and those who love nature will certainly be thrilled to see endemic birds, including egrets, terns, herons, kingfishers, and sandpipers. The jungles are also home to rare mammals and reptiles such as the purple-faced langur and the Sri Lankan water monitor.
