The Hikkaduwa Beach Festival is an annual affair and it is one of the largest beach festivals of its kind. Affectionately called the “Hikka Fest”, beachgoers and party enthusiasts from around the world flock to Hikkaduwa Beach for what is a truly international affair. The Festival generally takes place around July or August. During this time the weather is perfect, truly capturing the feel and atmosphere of a tropical paradise. What’s more, the waves tend tor ramp up during these days, meaning surfers can show off their skills as the festivities take place on the beach.

The Hikka Fest will feature a range of performances, including live playsets of both local and international DJs. There are plenty of restaurants and bars all around the beach to keep you refreshed during the festival. And that’s a good thing because the festivities can last for up to 5 days!
