These verdant patches of greenery offer the perfect, secluded escape from the crowds that tend to gather at the beach as the day winds down. While exploring these palm forests, you might even come across a small set path that cuts through the undergrowth. If you follow this along, you’ll eventually find yourself climbing up a hill that overlooks the beach and is crowned with a stunning Buddhist pagoda. It’s the perfect way to bookend your time here in Unawatuna Beach.
