Now is the best time to book a flight to Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan government has announced that it will reduce the price of aviation fuel, embarkation fees and ground handling charges in order to reduce airline charges for over 6 months. This plan is being implemented to revitalize the tourism sector of the country, which was affected by Easter Sunday attacks in April.
The government anticipates that the reduction of costs will encourage airlines to increase flights, re-establish schedules and reduce prices of tickets to the island.
The arrival of tourists to the country increased from 37,802 in May to 63,072 in June, indicating a revitalization of tourism as several countries have relaxed or removed the travel bans on the island.
98% of tourists that visited Sri Lanka during 2018, arrived via international carriers, therefore, the reduced prices of airline tickets are expected to increase revenue to the country.
Furthermore, hotels across the country are offering various discounts and promotions for travellers.
